5 Things to do on Valentines when Single

Although Valentines day is historically for lovers where does that leave single people like me? While it can be slightly depressing for some. Many believe appreciation for loved ones should be demonstrated throughout the year not only a single day.

To all my single ladies, so what if bae is not in the picture there is no need to bury your head in the sand. This post is especially for you, with five fun ideas promoting SELF LOVE.

1. Take a day trip abroad

Solo travel is hotly tipped for doing wonders for the soul. By taking yourself out of your comfort zone you engage with unlikely individuals you wouldn’t necessarily have met if you vacationed with your friends.

Take a leap and be spontaneous! You might even inspire your future grand babies to cultivate a thirst for adventure.

I recently partnered with Venture Travel offering the best prices around for affordable travel packages to Europe, Africa, you name it! When you book with them you get £50 off your holiday when you use my code MARISSA50. Valid until the end February 2018 - http://venturetravel.co.uk

2. Spa Treatment

How many times do you say you deserve a massage but you never follow through. Why not book that massage or facial to unwind and treat yourself like the queen you are. It's important to seek relaxation to better recuperate from our busy lives.

Groupon have an unbelievable deal for a 60 minute massage for £23 - https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/primo-herb-8

3. Go watch a film

Black Panther is out today! Ideally you should watch this much anticipated flick with your entire crew, however I would recommend rolling to another film on your own. Unusual but not entirely without its benefits. You can laugh outrageously or cry without the obvious side eye from your friend thinking you're weird and hormonal.

Go now and grab your favourite popcorn (from a supermarket preferably as cinemas charge a ridiculous amount) and enjoy a film in peace.

4. Visit a museum in the evening

I definitely don’t do this enough especially after a long day at work or school you rather race home to your bed. Perhaps mix things up and take a detour from your horrendous journey through rush hour and visit a museum after hours.
If you can’t afford to go away on holiday, museums are a great way to escape!

The Natural History Museum have late-night events with loads of exciting exhibitions with drinks, live music and tours! - http://www.nhm.ac.uk/events/lates.html

 5. Drive a Lamborghini!

I’m ashamed to say that I don’t have a license YET. This is common amongst millennials living in London that commute by train or bus. However for those with a license well done to you because you can indulge in this exhilarating experience.

Take a drive in a Lamborghini and feel like Simon Cowell for an hour or two in a fun 3 lap super-car experience.

Groupon has a deal with over 20 cars of you choice for £39 only!!! - https://www.wowcher.co.uk/deal/london-south/7165708/3-lap-supercar-driving-experience-39
